The QUEST Leibniz Research School

In line with the future strategy of the Leibniz Universität Hannover, the QUEST Leibniz Research School was established as a first-of-its-kind. The Research School is a "cross structure" with respect to the existing faculties and the scientific direction of the Research School is closely aligned with the research topics within the QUEST cluster of excellence.

The QUEST Leibniz Research School jointly leads, with participating faculties, appointment and promotion procedures and sets up its own course of studies. Existing collaborations with external partners are thereby strengthened. Mainly due to its specially adapted interdisciplinary course offering, the QUEST Leibniz Research School offers an attractive choice for students who want to conduct research at the interface between physics, mathematics and geodesy.

Through QUEST, a model project for the future, new facilities at the Leibniz Universität Hannover were implemented providing a structural framework for excellent faculty spanning research, and setting the course for interdisciplinary large-scale research projects for the future.
